Get To Know Arrow Atelier

Hi, my name is Zoe Pielsticker

I founded Arrow Atelier in 2019. I have BFA in Design & Production / Costume Technology from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I’ve spent the last 6 years in NYC making costumes at Eric Winterling Inc. for Broadway, Dance, TV, Film, Opera, Cruises and more. In February of 2020, my fiance, John, and I moved back to our home state of Colorado.

On March 1 2020, I had a job lined up for the next theater season and John was going to return to work as an insurance adjuster.  As the nation shut down, around March 15, we both found ourselves with no employment opportunities. This is a hard position to be in for anyone, it's exacerbated for us by the financial burdens of John's stage 4 cancer. We’ve both gone through the rigmarole of unemployment/disability, but that’s just not enough money to live on.

When we heard of the international shortage of PPE and how home sewers were mobilizing, we started mass producing masks. What started as a few masks for friends, family and to donate to local hospitals, has become a way for us to supplement our income enough to ease some of the burdens we feel. I am especially grateful that I have been able to continue doing what I love, with the man I love, every day from our home. As of August, we have made over 1500 masks! Thank you to all our friends, family and acquaintances who have gotten us this far!

This virus wont stop soon, masks will always help contain the spread, our bills wont be stopping, so we wont stop making mask! Share our info with friends!

Thank you
